Sleep Handout Now Available

March 21, 2017 by Beth Sitzler

Sleep is essential to health and function, playing a major role in cognitive performance, physical health and mental health. However, it seems like most people have trouble getting enough sleep. Studies show that one-third of college-aged student athletes get fewer than seven hours of sleep per night—and that rate is even higher among female athletes. To help educate parents, athletes and coaches about the important role sleep plays, NATA created a sleep infographic handout, which was featured in the April NATA News. Use this resource to keep member of your community informed.
